GO2020 | ENGAGE: June Week 4 - ABIDEPavyzdys

June 23—Be Ready!
Read
Matthew 24:33-36
Reflect
For generations people have wondered when Jesus will return. Leading up to today’s passage, Jesus refers to some things that will occur before his return. The point, however, is that no one knows when this will happen. Jesus could return today, tomorrow, next year, or in a thousand years. But we should always be ready. We should never take the posture that it won’t happen in our lifetime. That’s why the New Testament writers repeatedly charge believers to “be sober,” “be alert,” and “be watchful.”
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions:
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, Revelation 7:9. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

Apie šį planą

As members of the body of Christ, we are called to finish the race set before us, filled with joy and love, as we give witness to the power of the gospel that changes our lives. God’s kingdom embraces differences that the world sets up as barriers to Christian unity. Especially in these times, it is important for all believers to understand the oneness we have in Christ.
