Reflect
What was David’s message to the people of Jabesh (2:5-7)? How did Ishbosheth become king? Reread verses 25-28. What did Abner and Joab say to each other? How are conflicts resolved within your family?
Pray
Almighty God, when conflicts arise in my life among friends or family members, teach me Your ways of forgiveness and peace. Help me to be reconciled with anyone with whom I may be estranged. Amen.
Prayer Concern
Family members who are estranged.
