As we honestly lament before God, I believe we can look ahead— beyond today and tomorrow—to a new week or next month to a time when our pain will be resolved and our circumstances will be different.
We can look ahead to that day when Jesus Christ will come again and we will know full and complete resolution for all that ails, distresses, and confuses us.
In the hope we have for that future, we can find healing and peace. We can rest easy and well knowing that God is sovereign and that he will bring us safely home .

Jesus said, “In this world we will have trouble.” Chaos, sorrow, confusion and death are very much a part of our earthly experience. At some stage of our lives, it’s likely that we are going to experience deep physical, emotional, mental or spiritual pain. We will know pain of our own, the pain of our family and friends, and the pain of this world.
