Reasons to Believe: The Christian Experience Celebration is one of the key principles of life with God. Those who believe in God have reason to celebrate every single day! Does that sound strange to you? Perhaps you’ve experienced worship that didn’t seem much like celebration. This chapter shows how Nehemiah staged a huge victory party after the wall around Jerusalem had been rebuilt. After accomplishing their task, the Israelites took time to worship God, who had blessed their work. They celebrated! Today’s Christians can celebrate the fact that, through Jesus, the wall between all people and God has been removed. We have a direct line to God through prayer. And that’s something we can use daily to thank God and to seek his guidance.
