Gentleness

Gentleness is quiet strength,
the calm of a heart
at rest in God.

It does not force its way.
It draws near like a whisper,
like a shepherd gathering lambs
close to his heart.

Gentleness meets the weary
with steady care,
lifting burdens
without adding weight.

It is the Spirit’s soft power,
choosing humility over haste,
bringing peace where harshness
once held sway.
