Addiction Rewritten: Addiction Takes, God Providesಮಾದರಿ

When addiction burns bridges, God plants seeds in the ashes.
When addiction ends relationships, it leaves nothing but ashes in its wake. It’s like standing in the remains of a fire. Everyone felt the heat, everyone got burned, and now all that remains are the ashes that remind you of what used to be. It’s easy to believe nothing could ever grow there again; at least, not anything good.
Herein lies the difference between our feeble minds and God’s capabilities. Where we see destruction, He sees a planting ground. Where we see nothing but loss, He sees the start of something new. He kneels down in the ashes, digs into the soil beneath, and plants seeds for your future. In time, those seeds sprout, pushing up through the ashy remains to show that the story isn’t over. What was once a reminder of destruction becomes a testimony of restoration.
Prayer
God, please use the ashes of my past to create something beautiful. Plant seeds for my future in my pain so that I can know nothing is wasted. Amen.
