Addiction Rewritten: Addiction Takes, God Providesಮಾದರಿ

When addiction hardens your heart, God’s love softens it.
When you've been let down over and over by people, by life, or even by yourself, it’s easy to stop expecting anything good. Your heart starts to harden to protect itself from getting hurt again. You build walls. You go numb. It starts to feel safer not to care too much or hope too hard.
When your heart feels hard and closed off, don’t give up. God doesn’t shame you for having a hardened heart. He knows why it is the way that it is. But He doesn’t want you to keep it that way. If you listen, He’ll tell your heart to beat again. He and His word will remind you that healing is possible and you don’t have to do it alone. God softens hearts through love — His love, shown through others.
Prayer
God, my heart feels hard and tired. I’ve been hurt, and I’ve shut down. But I don’t want to stay this way. Please soften my heart. Surround me with people who show Your love. Amen.
