God Will Never Leave You

“Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble in dread before them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.” — Deuteronomy 31:6 AMP

The people of Israel had gotten used to leaning on Moses. He was the one who confronted Pharaoh, led them through the Red Sea, spoke with God, and delivered His commands. For forty years, Moses had been their leader, the one they looked to for guidance and direction. But when the time came for Joshua to step into leadership, Moses reminded the people of something vital: their true source of strength was not in him—it was in God.

We often fall into the same trap. We depend on pastors, mentors, bosses, or even family members to be our anchor. God does place leaders in our lives to guide us, but they are still human. They may encourage us, but they can’t carry us through every battle. Only God can do that.

Moses told the people, “Do not be afraid or tremble in dread… for the Lord your God goes with you.” He didn’t say might go—he said God goes with you. That means no matter where you walk, you are never alone. Leaders may come and go, but the Lord never fails and never abandons His people.

You can face every challenge with courage, not because you’re strong on your own, but because the God who goes with you is strong. His presence is permanent. His protection is certain.
