Growing Multigenerational Faithಮಾದರಿ

When Nehemiah rallied the people to rebuild the wall around the temple so the believers could finally worship without fear of being attacked by their enemies, their enemies plotted to interfere with progress by any means necessary. The decision was made to commit half of the wall builders to protecting those left vulnerable during the construction. For like a lion preying upon the weakest in a herd, the nations desiring the downfall of the Israelite people looked to harm the wives and children of the workers. If morale could be obliterated, who would continue to work to reconstruct an antiquated and failing barrier?
The work continues today. Daily, and all over the world, churches are constructed, missionaries bring the word, pastors train and study, parents teach their children the truth, and new believers commit their lives. And our enemy still plots our demise, and he threatens those dear to us, not only to draw them into his clutches, but also to derail us from our mission. But unlike the Israelites of old, we have stronger weapons than spears and swords. We wield the Holy Spirit and the Living Word.
Nehemiah instructs everyone, including those in high positions, to be on guard but not to fear. He wants them to remember the Lord’s power and provision and to be inspired to action and preparation for an altercation. He reminds them who will be targeted and calls for there to be resistance against what their adversaries might attempt.
Though God might not ask us to stack and mortar bricks day after day in service to Him, whatever work we do in His name will attract the attention of the devil. But we are equipped with prayer and the Bible to prepare for attacks against ourselves and those we love. We must remember the miracles our Lord has carried out and fight for our families to remain in the truth!

Lord Jesus, you gained ultimate and eternal victory when you died on the cross and were resurrected by God. Thank you for your victory! Thank you for that we too have that victory in our daily lives.
