God created you to contribute to the needs of others by helping them and serving them.

When John D. Rockefeller was only 33 years old he became the first millionaire in America. When he was 43 he owned the largest company in the world, Standard Oil Company. Then, when he was 53 he became the first billionaire in America. It was at this time in the early 1900s he became very sick and could eat only crackers and milk. He was on his deathbed. There were those in the media, newspapers, who had written his obituary. They thought he was about to die. There were some who hated him and said he was full of greed.

John testified that he was a Christian. He did understand that God had given him the gift to accumulate wealth. However, it was a curse because he hadn't sought the Almighty God to know the true purpose for which He had given him all that wealth. However, he had heard his pastor say, "God will give money to you, if He can get it through you." So one night, as John lay in his bed unable to go to sleep, he turned to God in prayer. It was then that he was given a vision wherein the Lord said to him, "All the money in the world will do you no good in heaven or hell. Your job and your responsibility is to give it away to bless others." The very next day, he called his staff together and formed the John D. Rockefeller Foundation. From then on, his philanthropy changed the world and he set the gold standard for other philanthropists to follow in their giving. As a result of Rockefeller's giving, many diseases were wiped out in the early part of that century.

Rockefeller's wealth increased and he spent the next 40 years giving it away. He discovered his true calling in life. God gave him peace of mind and inner healing, which opened doors for God’s physical healing in his life. Rockefeller experienced many miracles. But in the midst of it all, he found his true calling. His health turned around and he spent the next 40 years giving away the wealth he had accumulated. He received the peace of mind that came with it, and the inner healing that God gave him paved the way for his outer physical healing as well.

This story is so powerful how God has created us to contribute to the needs of others. When we do that we not only have inner healing but outward physical healing as well.
