YOUnique Purpose - Why Purpose?ಮಾದರಿ

Imagine you are on a road trip and don’t know where you are heading. Of course, you will enjoy the journey for a while but at some point, you will wonder where am I going and why am I doing this in the first place. Even as you read the very first line of this chapter you subconsciously read it as “Imagine you’re on a road trip to somewhere.” Yeah you wanted to know where you are headed and the why. Likewise, life can feel a lot like that aimless road trip if we don't know your life purpose.

The purpose is the "why" behind everything we do. It is the guiding star that gives our lives direction to move forward, helping us to navigate through ups and downs of life. It's like the compass that sailors use in the ocean giving them the direction to move forward and make decisions, even when the skies are cloudy, and the seas are rough.

Paul in his letter to the Romans is trying to convince the Christians at the Church in Rome to support his mission to Spain. He uses the first eleven chapters to explain the Why. He uses eleven chapters to explain the why of the Gospel, Sin, Salvation, Sanctification and Sovereignty of God. Finally in the last 5 chapters he talks about the how. He gives more than two thirds of his letter on the why.

Cal Newport in this book Deep Work assigns three chapters arguing the why of Deep Work and then uses the remaining 4 chapters on the how. He gives a significant portion of his book explaining the why.

Understanding the why of the why is important. In this reading plan, we are going to see why it is important to know or discover our YOUnique Purpose, hoping that it will convince you to discover your God-given YOUnique Purpose. But before we get into the ‘why’, I’m going to take you through some ideologies or behaviors that you will have to rid from your life in order to see your God-given YOUnique purpose.
