DAY 7: FACE TO FACE

Have you ever wondered why one of the living creatures in Revelation 4 is the face of man and what it has to do with worship? Jesus, the Son of God, became man for you and me, and through the cross, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus, there is no more distance between us. Intimacy with the Almighty God. How on earth?

For some, the idea of intimacy with God feels daunting or uncomfortable. But God desires this connection with us not as a distant God but as a loving Father and compassionate Bridegroom. He sees you as His beloved child, fully known and fully loved. Nothing about you surprises Him, and His love is unconditional. In His embrace, we are safe, valued, and called to live in the fullness of His presence.

However, guilt and shame often hinder this relationship, causing us to feel unworthy of His love. Jesus doesn’t want us to stay in that mindset. Instead, He calls us to behold Him with unveiled faces (2 Corinthians 3:18), letting His love reveal our true identity as His redeemed and cherished children. Worship flows from this revelation: We see Him for who He is, and we begin to understand who we truly are in Him.

The woman who poured expensive oil on Jesus (Matthew 26:6-13) embodied this truth. Her act of worship wasn’t about the value of the oil but about declaring the worth of the One who had restored her value. True worship comes from recognizing His worth and responding with all that we are.

Jesus invites us to drop the masks, let go of shame, and embrace Him fully. His love redefines us, and we see the truth of who we are in His presence. We are His beloved, redeemed, whole, and holy heirs. When we see Him face to Face and behold His glory, we see who we truly are.

Jesus knows our struggles intimately. He walked this earth, experiencing rejection, hurt, sorrow, stress, unrighteousness, and so much more. Today, He is inviting you to look beyond your earthly reality, to lock your eyes on Him, and to encounter His gaze of grace and truth (John 1:14).
