Between the Altar and the Father’s Embraceნიმუში

Return to the Place of Presence Before the Place of Pressure
Before being a pastor, you are a daughter.
Ministry is not your identity—it is the fruit of your relationship with the Father. The danger begins when your function speaks louder than your sonship. When that happens, the altar becomes a burden, and service loses its joy.
Jesus did not call you first to serve but to be with Him. The calling is born from closeness, not from performance. The presence of God is the only place where the heart of a leader is truly renewed. There, God doesn’t demand results—He restores identity.
When you rest again in the Father’s embrace, the weight of responsibility gives way to the peace of belonging. His love is not based on your output but on your being. You were never meant to carry the ministry apart from the presence.
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28, NIV)
Reflection:
Have you been spending more time before the altar or in the Father’s arms?

About this Plan

This is a devotional plan for pastors and leaders who have served tirelessly but now feel weary at heart. Inspired by Pastor Marie Andrade’s message at the Pastors and Leaders Coffee (Expansão Church – Sorocaba), this devotional invites you to rediscover the balance between ministry and intimacy, between calling and rest. Over six days, the Lord will lead you back to the place where burdens turn into His presence, and service flows once again from the love of a daughter, not from the exhaustion of a servant.
