Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoნიმუში

The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of the law (Deuteronomy 29:29 NKJV).
What obligation does God give to every believer?
In today’s reading, John was instructed to eat the scroll given to him by an angel (Revelation 10:9–10). It tasted sweet but turned bitter, symbolizing the joy of God’s truth mixed with the burden of delivering His message.
Are you consuming God’s Word daily, allowing it to shape your life? Does it stir in you a burden for others? The Bible isn’t just for knowledge; it’s for transformation. Sometimes it is bitter, and sometimes it is sweet… It is always truthful and needed!
Employment Point: Digest God’s Word and then proclaim it.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
