PRAYER & FASTING
Prayer is the way that you can personally talk to and connect with God! The most powerful prayers are the ones that are sincere and genuine. It's not about saying the most eloquent words, but about having a sincere heart.
Jesus also equips us with a model to use in prayer. As you read through this prayer, you can see some principles in prayer:
1\. Acknowledging God & honoring Him
2\. Inviting His mission & His Kingdom into your life and the world
3\. Recognizing God as your provider / making requests to God
4\. Repenting of sin
5\. Asking for strength to resist sin
You can say this prayer to God: "God, I acknowledge & honor you. I invite your mission & kingdom into my life. You are my provider; I trust you."
