Jesus Over Your Past

The past can be a scary place to revisit. Often, the enemy uses our previous failures and mistakes to try to disqualify us from what God wants to do in our lives. When this happens, we need to remember that Jesus is over our past. That means the blood of Jesus has washed it away. It is no longer part of who we are.

Scripture tells us, “As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:12 (NIV) Jesus came to earth as our Savior. When He took up the cross, He did it for you and me, knowing that it was the only way we could truly be set free and reconciled to God. He hung on that cross, bled, and died so that today you could claim Jesus over your past. Your sin, shame, and every regret were nailed to the cross. So when the time comes and the enemy begins to remind you of what you’ve done, remind the enemy of what Jesus did. Jesus over your past.
