Jesus Over Everything
"Jesus Over Everything" is a powerful declaration, and what I believe should be the motto for our lives as followers of Christ. When we declare the words “Jesus Over Everything,” we are speaking of the authority that Jesus holds and we hold as children of God over the enemy. We read in Philippians 2:9-11 (ESV), “Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.”
Not only are these three words a statement of God’s power, but they also invite us into deeper surrender by showing how worthy He is to be put above everything else in our lives. I believe true, abundant life begins where God’s power meets our surrender. Over the next few days, we will explore what it means to put Jesus at the center of all different areas of our lives.
