Holy, Not Superhuman

DAY 1 OF 7

Too Holy for Me? Not Even Close!

When you hear “holiness,” do you feel like sprinting… in the opposite direction! Don’t worry, you’re not alone. We often imagine holiness as some unreachable mountaintop, reserved for people who fast every other day, glow in the dark, and have never had a bad thought while driving. And us? With our stumbles, struggles, and maybe more pizza in our hearts than spiritual fire? We feel disqualified before we even start.

But here’s the good news: God never calls you to something He won’t help you live. If He calls you to holiness, it’s because He also gives you what you need to walk it out. Holiness isn’t a spiritual level you unlock like in a video game, or a status you earn to collect heavenly points. It’s a journey. It’s saying “yes” to Jesus every day, even when you’re tired, unsure, or ready to ditch it all for a Netflix binge.

Holiness has never meant perfection. It means direction. It means choosing the right path even when it’s uphill. Yes, you’ll trip. Yes, you’ll stop to catch your breath. But you’re still climbing. And God isn’t standing at the top with a clipboard, counting your mistakes. He’s right there beside you, lifting you up and cheering you on.

Think of holiness like a hike: it’ll make you sweat, stretch, and struggle… but the view at the top? Absolutely worth it. A free heart. A burning spirit. A life that reflects Jesus.

Pray this simple prayer:
Lord, help me not to be discouraged by the word “holiness.” Show me it’s a path to walk, not a trophy to show off. And remind me that You’re with me, every step of the way.

About this Plan

Holy, Not Superhuman

When you hear “holiness,” do you feel overwhelmed? You’re not alone. It can seem reserved for monks or “super-Christians,” but that’s not God’s heart. He’s not asking for perfection, just a sincere, daily walk with Him. This Bible plan offers a simple, practical journey to discover that holiness isn’t a cage, but true freedom.
