DAY 5 OF 6

Weaponized Words

The Bible doesn’t pull any punches:

“The tongue is a fire… set on fire by hell itself.”
That’s not poetic flair. That’s divine warning.

There is a real enemy. And he’s not just out to mess with your circumstances—he’s after your mouth.
Because if he can control your words, he can shape your world—and wound everyone in it.
Even if you don’t realize the power your tongue holds, he does. So he whispers,

“It’s not that deep.”

“It’s just venting.”

"She deserved it."

“Words are harmless.”

But they’re not. Words can crush a heart quicker than fists ever could.

Think about it: The same mouth we use to praise God is often the one we use to criticize His creation. The same lips we use to worship are the ones that whisper gossip, tear down friends, or fire off sarcasm.

How wild is that? That we can sing about God’s love in one breath and spew bitterness in the next. It’s the contradiction the enemy loves most—when we stop looking like the Kingdom we say we represent.

How this must break the heart of God—
To hear us read a scripture one minute, and the next, to hand the keys to Satan himself
and begin to glorify lust, greed, pride, and selfishness with that very same mouth.

A Weapon for the Kingdom

I hope you guys know—
We did not create this Bible plan because of how successful we’ve been in this area (because we haven't been).
We created it because we know how easy it is to fail here.

But I'm tired of seeing Satan win in this area.
I want my words to be a sweet song to the ears of our King.
I want to take every effort possible to make sure that this mouth—
this tool that was created to praise, encourage, and build up
isn’t hijacked and used to do the opposite.

In the video, I shared how Keith completely changed the trajectory of my life.
He chose to use his words to communicate more than what the eye could see.
And what God showed him—he didn’t keep to himself.

He knew his words were a tool.
He knew that when used correctly, they could thrust me into my healing journey and into the fullness of my calling.
His words helped heal what someone else’s words had destroyed.

And here’s the truth:
YOU HAVE THAT SAME POWER!
NEVER forget that!

Don’t let the enemy trick you into thinking you're just some small, powerless Christian.
It is a LIE straight from the pit of Hell.

You can make a huge impact in the world around you.
And it starts—with your words.

Your words can be a turning point for someone who’s drowning in silence, insecurity, or shame. But not if you underestimate the tool God has given you.

Prayer You Can Pray:

God, I’m asking You to take control of my words.
Let my mouth be used to bless and not curse.
Help me to be aware when my words begin to drift away from what honors You.
I don't want to hand the enemy the microphone in my life.
I want to speak life, truth, and hope to everyone around me.
Thank You for giving me this kind of power. I choose today to use it for good.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Bottom Line:

Satan wants to hijack your mouth. God wants to use it to heal, encourage, and give life. You choose who gets control.
