Healing Isn’t Just for You

Experiencing healing does not only benefit you.
It benefits the world around you and every single person God has placed in your life.

God wants to heal the deepest parts of us so that we can walk in freedom—
and so that we can show the world a love that looks more like His.

I am all too guilty of responding to things in a negative way because of areas in my life that desperately need God’s healing.
You've probably heard the phrase:

“Hurt people hurt people.”
And it’s true.

We need to be proactive in letting God get into those uncomfortable places.
We need to stop hiding behind our pain and ask God to bring wholeness to our lives.
We need strength and courage to walk in forgiveness
and move forward without dragging along the baggage of our past hurts.

Now, of course, this is easier said than done.
But how amazing is it that our amazing God wants to bring healing to your life?

And even cooler—
He wants to use YOU to be a part of someone else’s healing journey.

Healing Overflows

The more God works His healing in us,
the brighter our light becomes to the world around us.
And the sweeter our words become.

When we know who we are,
when we believe what God says about us,
we stop being so reactionary to life’s daily frustrations.
We become less defensive, less sensitive, and more grounded in truth.

Remember:
Most bullies, though they act confident, are actually fighting deep insecurity.
They make themselves appear big because they feel small inside.

But a person who is secure in Jesus can let things roll off their back.
And because of that, they can also control their tongue—
not speaking from insecurity but from healing.

Basically, the answer to every sin you're struggling with is more intimacy with Jesus.

The more we grow with God,
the more we experience His healing,
and the more we become like Him.

And the more that happens,
the brighter our lights shine in a dark world.

JESUS IS THE ANSWER.

How encouraging to know that your life can be a healing balm to the world around you.
That your words can be sweet like honey.
That what pours out of your mouth can be the sweet overflow of a heart healed and filled by God.

Prayer You Can Pray:

God, I don’t want to keep carrying the wounds of the past.
Heal the deepest parts of me that I’ve been afraid to open up.
Give me the strength to forgive and the courage to move forward in freedom.
I want my life to reflect Your healing and Your love.
Fill my heart so that what overflows from my mouth is sweet and life-giving.
Thank You for choosing to use me in the healing stories of others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
