Refresh My Soul: Discovering God’s Promises for a Purposeful LifeIhe Nhụchatụ

Day 26: Walking in Light
Have you ever tried walking through your house in the dark? You think you know where everything is…until your foot finds the corner of the coffee table. That sudden sting is a reminder: we weren’t made to move through life without light.
Spiritually, the same is true. When we hide our struggles, fears, or failures, it gets heavy. We feel confused, stuck, or even ashamed. God invites us to walk in His light—a warm, healing light that leads us toward freedom.
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin” (1 John 1:7 NIV).
Walking in the light is like opening the door to God into every part of our lives—yes, revealing the rooms we’d rather He not see. God isn’t afraid of our mess. In fact, He meets us there with grace, not condemnation. His light doesn’t expose to shame; it reveals to heal.
There’s freedom in living open before God. You’re walking in step with Jesus—the One who purifies, restores, and gently leads. His light brings clarity, connection, and peace.
APPLICATION
Take five quiet minutes today and ask God if there’s any part of your heart or life that needs His light. Let Him speak—and invite Him into it.
- PRAY
Jesus, I want to walk in Your light. Shine into the hidden places and heal what I've kept in the dark.
- SAY
I walk in God’s light. His truth sets me free and draws me close.
- ASK
What part of my life am I tempted to hide—and what would it look like to invite Jesus into that?
