Day 6 — ENJOY THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
The first thing we see here is that rest, peace, and confidence are the overflow of righteousness. This is a simple cause and effect arrangement. As we understand the gift of righteousness freely given to us in Christ, then rest, peace, and confidence flow from that. Righteousness is “to be made right with God through the blood of Jesus” and to, therefore, stand before God without guilt, fear, or condemnation. (2 Corinthians 5:21) The more we understand this amazing gift, the more our confident trust in God grows in our lives.
