Pesan mereka, “Kalian harus berkata, ‘Murid-murid-Nya datang pada malam hari dan mencuri mayat-Nya waktu kami sedang tidur.’ Jika gubernur mendengar hal ini, kami akan berbicara dengannya supaya kalian tidak mendapat masalah.” Para tentara menerima uang itu dan melakukan seperti yang dipesankan kepada mereka.
