The suffering, the pain and the immobility had gone, immediately. It was for real and it was weird! Being able to move, let alone walk, was so incredible. The unbelievable had actually happened. One minute it was a question of looking up at Jesus from the floor, and then suddenly it was face to face, looking him in the eye. Now, what to do first? Try everything – walking, running, jumping, bending, kneeling – the list was endless! Definitely no more lying down for a while, apart from sleeping. There had been enough of that to last a whole lifetime. What about shoes, or sandals? They were necessary now. Thank you, Jesus! Thank you for an amazing miracle, but thanks too for the miracle of forgiveness. All those wrong thoughts, words and deeds, sorted. Forever.
