Inviting People to Church // Section 1: Earning the Right to Talk

Churches often joke about bribing friends to come to church, but there’s some Biblical merit to the idea here. It applies in many areas. Looking to make friends? Be a giver of gifts and someone who blesses people and you won’t be without friends for long. Bribing someone won’t keep him or her at church, but it might get them there to experience God, and He will keep them there. Our job is simply to get them into God’s presence and allow them to make a decision: nothing more and nothing less. We ask them to 'come and see' what God has done and what He could do in their life.

Practical Steps: Bribe someone with coffee or lunch this week in exchange for coming to church this Sunday.
