Inviting People to Church // Section 2: Talking to Your Friends about Jesus

Like it was for the early church, this ought to be our natural reaction. Basically they’re saying, ‘We don’t know about you, but we can’t help but spread our faith – it’s too great!’ As it’s been said – how much do you actually have to hate a person not to tell them about Jesus if you truly believe in Heaven and Hell?

We may make arguments that we're afraid of what they'll think about us or what they'll say but the truth is, that's selfishness talking. When we meet Jesus we realize that the world doesn't revolve around us and that selfishness was part of what ruined our life in the first place. Let's take our eyes off of ourselves and care deeply for those in our lives that are far from God.

Practical Steps: Ask that God would put this type of spirit deep in your soul – an 'I can’t help but tell' spirit.
