Jesus continues to explain and challenge his followers to no longer continue obeying the law out of obligation or religious tradition, rather Jesus continually showed His concern about this by challenging their assumptions and the “why” in their behavior.  He also shows us His leadership in wanting to multiply influence by delegating His power and authority to perform supernatural miracles while continually emphasizing that these spectacular feats were not based on the people who worked them, but rather the goodness and kindness of God toward His people.
