They don’t know what they're doing!

The older I get I realize how much I relate and have been like the people Jesus is asking God to forgive. I have disappointed, disrespected, and flat out ignored God. Yet He always forgives me. What an amazing Savior. We don’t deserve Him, yet He still died for us. 

This is also a great reminder to model the same forgiveness Jesus showed. It isn’t always easy, but Jesus set a powerful standard for forgiveness. Even in Jesus' agony, He was still focused on the forgiveness of His enemies. Forgiveness was the reason He was on the cross. The words “Father, forgive them” showed the merciful heart of God.

Pray: Help me have Your grace to forgive even when others don’t deserve it.

Daily Challenge: Think of someone you may need to forgive and do it. If you need help, observe today’s prayer.
