DAY 2 – JOY
Moment of Praise Worship
Read the Word:
- Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
- John 16:22 (NKJV) – Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.
- Romans 15:13 (NIV) – May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Joy is more than happiness; it is a deep gladness of heart that the Holy Spirit produces, regardless of circumstances. Unlike temporary pleasures that fade, joy is anchored in God’s eternal promises. Trials, pain, and disappointments may come, but joy remains because it is rooted in Christ’s finished work. This joy is the strength that carries us when life feels heavy.
Joy is also a witness to the world. When others see you walking in joy amid storms, they see the evidence of the Spirit within you. Joy doesn’t ignore hardship but rises above it. It is gratitude in suffering, hope in despair, and laughter even through tears. The Spirit teaches us that joy is not circumstantial — it is spiritual.
CONFESSION
I confess that the joy of the Lord is my strength (Nehemiah 8:10). My heart is fixed on Christ, not on circumstances. I rejoice in the Lord always, and His joy overflows in me daily.
PRAYER FOCUS
Holy Spirit, fill me with unshakable joy. When sorrow tries to consume me, remind me of the eternal hope I have in Christ. Let my joy shine as a light to others, drawing them to Your presence. Replace despair, anxiety, and heaviness with gladness of heart. I choose to rejoice in You always. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
About this Plan

Heavenly Fruits with Marcus Mooki is a 10-day devotional exploring the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–24). Each day focuses on one fruit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—revealing how the Holy Spirit shapes Christlike character within us. Through Scripture, teaching, confessions, and Spirit-led prayers, you’ll discover that true transformation is not achieved by striving but by abiding in Christ and yielding to His Spirit. This journey will help you walk daily in the Spirit and bear lasting fruit that glorifies God.
