Day 14: God Will Lead You the Right Way

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” – Psalm 32:8 NIV

Devotion
Making the right decisions in life can be challenging. It’s not always about whether we can decide, but whether our choices align with God’s will. If you find yourself at a crossroads, today’s scripture offers great comfort: God Himself promises to instruct, teach, and guide us in the way we should go. So how do we seek His direction?

• Ask for God’s will: Pray with humility, “Lord, if this is not Your will, please close the door. But if it is Your will, open the door before me.”
• Seek God’s wisdom: Stand on James 1:5, which reminds us that if we lack wisdom, we can ask God, and He will give it generously without finding fault.
• Follow the Holy Spirit: Trust the Spirit’s leading, as John 16:13 promises that He will guide us into all truth. As you seek direction, invite the Holy Spirit to shape your thoughts and steps.

When we lean on God’s promises, we can trust that His guidance will lead us to the best path, the one that fulfills His purpose for our lives.

Prayer:

Abba Father,

I trust that You will guide me and show me the way I should go. I know that You make no mistakes and that Your plans for me are perfect. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, reveal Your truth and direct me in the path I should take.

Remove any confusion, Lord, and fill my heart with peace so I can walk with confidence in the decisions You are calling me to make. Today, I specifically ask for Your guidance concerning [state request], so that my choice honors You.

I trust You to direct my steps and to fulfill the purpose You have for my life. I declare that You are leading me in the right way. It is in Jesus Christ’s name, I pray. Amen.
