Giving Thanks Using the Psalmsનમૂનો

Give thanks!? Maybe not today …
“May all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You! May those who love your salvation say evermore: God is great! But I am poor and needy; hasten to me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer: O LORD, do not delay!” (Psalm 70:4-5 ESV)
David felt very vulnerable due to the behaviour of his enemies and desperately needed the strength and nearness of God. Like an impatient child to his father, David shouted: "Help me now! Make haste!” (Psalm 70:1). That is also trusting God: crying out to Him without fear of rejection, shouting out your deep distress without minding your words. Against the hostility of his enemies, David apparently needed the counterbalance of praise to God (Psalm 70:4). David himself felt vulnerable and miserable (Psalm 70:5). In the temple meetings, giving thanks to God was part of the service. When sorrow, tiredness, fear and pain are so prevalent, it can be difficult to keep thanking and praising God. Then you may allow yourself to be carried on by the words of others. In this way, the songs and prayers of others can be a comforting compensation for your own difficulties. That helps to keep the confidence that God is present and wants to be your Helper. That way, in spite of your weakness, you can keep saying: You are my Help. (Psalm 70:5). That is also a way to praise and give thanks.
Recommendation: If you cannot find words yourself to thank God, pray a Psalm from the Bible aloud or sing a song of praise.
Thanksgiving: Thank You Father that You are not deterred by my strong words. Thank You that You are aware of my distress and vulnerability. Today I thank You for ...
