Giving Thanks Using the Psalmsનમૂનો

Give thanks! God helps in need
“Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He has redeemed from trouble” (Psalm 107:1-2 ESV).
Psalm 107 describes how God came to the rescue of:
- People who had gone astray (verses 4-9)
- People who had been imprisoned (verses 10-16)
- People who were tormented for their sinful ways (verses 17-20)
- People who had been cast adrift (verses 23-30)
Sadness, lack, fear of the unknown, enmity, suffering because of your own unhealthy choices or stubbornness. How much uncertainty and anxiety it can cause. How lost, hungry, exhausted, desperate, and sad have you ever felt or are you feeling right now? Praising and thanking God seems like the last thing you are capable of in such circumstances.
We can also read Psalm 107 as a history lesson in which other believers tell us what God can do. We are sometimes too busy with everyday worries. Then it is advisable to read a 'history lesson' like Psalm 107. It is helpful to remind ourselves of the goodness and presence of God in the daily worries and troubles. It helps to regain our gratitude and confidence. One day, we will be able to sing again: Dear God, You are always there, Your goodness endures forever.
Assignment: Look up the verses in Psalm 107 that say the same as verse 6. Find in the words that follow what God specifically redeems us from.
Thanksgiving: Dear God, I thank You that I can come to You with every possible need in my life. Thank You that You see me, in whatever situation I find myself in. Today I thank You for ...
