Giving Thanks Using the Psalmsનમૂનો

Give thanks! Let it be heard
‘I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds’ (Psalm 9:1 ESV).
Psalms are songs and prayers written in verse form. The book of Psalms in the Bible includes 150 such songs and prayers. Five types of psalms can be distinguished: psalms of praise, supplication, thanksgiving, royal psalms and psalms of wisdom. Psalm 9 is one of thanksgiving. In the Bible, the words ‘praise’ and ‘thanks’ overlap. To thank God means to thank Him specifically for what you have received from Him. It follows that you start praising Him for who He is and what He does. In psalm 9, this also happens. In doing so, the writer, David, wants to tell others about the power and grace of God. If you read through this psalm, you will discover that the poet thanked God because:
God saved him from his enemies (verses 4-5),
He showed His power to unbelievers (verse 6), and
He is a Shelter to all who seek His help ( verse 11).
These three points, God's salvation, power and help, caused David to start thanking and praising God. In a way that others could hear. So that they would discover who God is as well.
By giving specific thanks to God, we become more aware of who He is. This also causes new songs of thanksgiving to spring to life within us.
Question: What have you discovered about God in your life? How could you share that with others?
Thanksgiving: Dear God, I praise You for saving me and being my Refuge. Thank You that You are just and trustworthy and I can take shelter with You with every need in my life. Today I thank You for... (fill in your own points of thanksgiving).
