Day 7: A Prayer of Salvation for Survivors
Dear God,
After experiencing repeated trauma, it can be difficult to accept and submit to unconditional love like yours. Yet you desire all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Tim. 2:4) You do not wish that any should perish, but that all will come to repentance (2. Pet. 3:9) I pray for the salvation of the survivors in Abolition’s aftercare programs who do not yet know you as their Savior. You invite all who are thirsty to come and take the free gift of the water of life. (Rev. 22:17) Give them a heart to know that you are Lord. Sanctify them completely, that their whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. You are faithful and will surely do it. (Jer. 24:7; 1 Thes. 5:23-24)
May they declare with their mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in their heart that you raised him from the dead, so they may be justified and redeemed by the blood of the lamb. (Rom. 10:9-10; 1 Pet. 1:18-19) I pray they will choose life. You are faithful and just to forgive and purify. Wash them that they may be whiter than snow. (Deut. 30:19; 1 Jn 1:9; Ps. 51:7) In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
