Blessing and Struggle
Nothing happens for our blessing without a struggle. To understand that, we need to look at the Cross. Not even God could redeem us without His own suffering and death.
In Gethsemane Jesus pled: “If it be possible, let this cup pass from me.” He was asking if there was anything in the eternal order of things that would allow for an adjusted pathway of delivering mankind from destruction. But His perfect humanity continued, “Nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”
He settled on what He knew to be the divine order: Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. God invites us to bring our struggles and fears to Him, even as we accept His will.
