Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. When your husband begins to love you like Christ loves the Church, your spouse will crucify his flesh or selfish desires for your sake, cleanse you spiritually by supporting your spiritual growth, and yield his soul to God for your sake like Jesus did on the cross. An unfaithful, abusive, or emotionally absent husband is yet to develop the capacity to love his wife like Jesus.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, empower my husband to love me like Christ loves the Church. Your will is for my husband to love me like Jesus loves the Church, and you said if we ask anything according to your will, you hear us, and we have what we desire because you listen to us. I thank you for answering my prayer. I have confidence in your faithfulness. Alleluia!
