# What do we know about calling? A calling (vocation) is an inclination, an internal attraction to some business or profession. This word also has a broader meaning: God's appeal to man, which puts him in front of a choice that cannot be avoided. God puts an end to the silence that has reigned between Him and humanity since the Fall by addressing people and calling them.
