Consider this Scripture passage: “Be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15-16 NASB). Like Lot, could you be making unwise choices that hinder your opportunities to serve the Lord? What might they be? REFLECT: What characteristics did Lot exhibit in decision-making? What consequences resulted? When we walk with God and seek His direction, how do our choices—and our underlying motivations—change? PRAY: Lord Jesus, I’m sorry for every time I made a difficult decision without consulting You or Your believers. Help me to remember to seek wise counsel for decisions that impact my future and the future of those around me.
