VISION GENERATES NEED
For many, "need" is a bad word, but when God gives us a vision, it always generates a need.
God told Noah that it was going to rain and asked him to build an ark, even though he did not know what rain was and had never seen a boat. God gave him the plan, and with it, a vision to save the human race from the flood. That vision generated need: materials, tools, skilled hands to build, people who also believed in the vision, and the support of their loved ones.
He asked Moses to build a tabernacle and that vision also generated need: materials, labor, and people to bring an offering.
He asked David to build a temple. Faced with the need, David had to ask the people to bring everything needed to build it, and he had to position his son, Solomon, to finish the vision. Many things were needed: labor, materials, time, humility and resources to build what God was showing him.
And you, how do you see the need? Do you see it as something negative or as something positive?
Where there is no need, there is no vision and there is no progress.
You may have a vision for building your business or starting a business and that vision generates the need for resources: employees, supplies, offices. Perhaps your need today is a sign that God is taking you to new levels and is fulfilling His vision for your life.
Recognizing need as an opportunity from God requires a paradigm shift, pushing us out of a victim mentality and into a Kingdom mentality.
Let us be people with more vision than resources, who move forward because we know that need is an opportunity for a new possibility.
