Scattered: Doing Life as the Ministry Sent OutExemple

Why are we SCATTERED? I am not smart enough to be able to fully answer that question. But the simple answer is so that HE can GATHER us to Himself again.
That’s been true in every one of the passages we have looked at this week. God is always gathering His people back to Himself. We tend to wander off, so He has to come get us. But we also tend to want to stay gathered tighter and tighter in our little holy huddles. So, from time to time He must scatter us in order to help us live out our faith among the unbelievers.
In the verses we read today, that’s the purpose for Jesus’ death. To unite the scattered children of God. This season of scattering has served to bring the entire body of Christ together. Together to pray for a cure. Together to serve the needs of our community. Together to seek the Lord during uncertain times.
Let us draw near to Jesus during this season of Scattering and draw even closer to Him when He gathers us to Himself when it passes!

À propos de ce plan

Life has changed in early 2020! We have been SCATTERED from our usual location of communities of faith due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Can we find a purpose in the disruption? Is this the first time God's people have been SCATTERED? What can we learn from this season of disruption? Could God have a greater purpose for the church during this season?
