As much as He desires to be with us and fill us with himself, He does not force His way in. He waits until we make space for Him. When we make room for Him in our hearts, He will gladly enter and fill us.
Because of God’s great love for us, He gives us the freedom to choose Him. It’s only when we are given a choice to not choose God, that we can truly choose to love Him. He wants us to lovingly and freely choose Him.
It would be easy to think that this concept only applies to someone who has not accepted Jesus. However, in this Revelation passage, Jesus is speaking to His followers. The freedom to choose Jesus is a daily one.
He is knocking and waiting. What does it look like for you to make more room for Jesus this week?
