# Does someone you know need spiritual encouragement? [IMAGE CONTENT] Hello, my friend! I am so grateful to be able to share a few moments with you today! A friend of mine stopped by my office and shared about his spiritual exhaustion. He commented that his life felt empty and shallow and that his relationship with Jesus was running on empty. Having just been through my encounter with a “check engine” light and my own experiences with ignoring my own fuel gauge, I asked him if there were any warning signs happening in his life that he was ignoring. His transparent answers were very eye-opening. He mentioned that months before, he had stopped giving and serving. He listed out all the excuses he had made to drop these two essential parts of his spiritual journey, but then commented, “When my life became all about me, I knew I was going in the wrong direction.” My friend, if your heart and soul feel empty today, I want to encourage you to do a quick check on your stewardship and your service! Proverbs 3:9 says, “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops, THEN, your barns will be filled to overflowing and your vats will brim over with new wine.” (Proverbs 3:9, NIV) Ephesians 6:7-8 says, “Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.” (Ephesians 6:7-8, NIV) There is nothing more fulfilling than following the example of Jesus and joining Him in service to other people. This will put fuel in your spiritual tank! And when we steward every aspect of our lives well, there is the promise of blessing that allows our lives to be filled to overflowing! I would love to pray with you the same prayer that I prayed with my friend that day in my office. Jesus, would You pour Your grace on, right now? Lord, has come to You to reset their heart on You. Thank You for their awareness of Your grace, and I pray they would re-engage with both generosity and service. Lord, when we give of ourselves, we gain SO much more. Lord, pour out Your blessing on Your child and refill their soul to overflowing. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen. My friend, we all need a spiritual reset from time to time.
