Light Has ComeNäide

The Greatest Collision
Imagine Heaven that first Christmas; thousands upon thousands of angels watched Jesus leave His throne. Heaven held its breath as the central event of all history began to unfold. The Word was becoming flesh. God was becoming man.
That’s the Incarnation—the moment eternity collided with time and the supernatural crashed into the natural.
The baby Jesus was 100% God, yet 100% man. Love was born that day. Hope was born. Truth was born. The All-Powerful became powerless. The Infinite became finite. Jesus left the peace and wonder of Heaven to enter the chaos of earth.
Maybe you’ve experienced some collisions lately? Perhaps your life collided with unexpected loss, relational pain, or health challenges. You might feel like you’ve been crushed. Yet here’s the beautiful truth: God sent Jesus just for you. He is with you and He is for you.
John 1:14a captures this incredible collision: “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us…” That phrase “dwelt among us” literally means “pitched his tent.”
For thirty-three years, Jesus moved into our neighborhood. He didn’t keep His distance. He came close—really close. He entered our mess, our pain, our world. When Heaven collided with earth, God didn’t send a message, He came Himself. He didn’t shout instructions from a distance, He moved into the neighborhood.
This Christmas, whatever collision you’re facing, remember: you’re not alone in it. Jesus has entered your situation. Immanuel, God with us, isn’t just a nice Christmas phrase. It’s your reality.
Pray
Father, thank You for not keeping Your distance. Thank You that Jesus didn’t just sympathize from Heaven but entered my world. Help me to feel Your presence with me today, especially in the collisions I’m facing. You’re Immanuel—God with me. Amen.
