DAY 5 OF 6

What Do You Know About Special Friends From the Bible?

There are lots of stories about special friends in the Bible. The friends you’ll learn about today show an excellent example of working together. They worked together for the best reason: to help a friend come to Jesus!

Watch this video to find out more.

This story is a perfect example of how much we need one another. There are some problems we simply can’t solve without help.

As the Church, we work together. Jesus taught us to pray for unity and to love people who are different from us. In God’s big family, everyone is welcomed and needed. Everyone is an adored family member.

Being the Church means following God's greatest commands: Love God and love your neighbor as yourself. Everyone around us is our neighbor, and we should show them they matter. In our local church buildings and out in the rest of the entire world, we team up.

We show God’s love to our neighbors because He can change lives!

It’s coming: Day 6 holds the surprise! If you know Matthew 22:37-39 by heart, it will make the surprise even better! Check it out in the NIV translation of the Bible to get ready! (Don’t you dare peek! For real!)

Pray: God, thank You for helping me to understand new ways I can love You and love others. When someone I know is in need, help me know how I can help. If I need to ask others to help, too, I will do it. And with Your help, we can work together to do so much more than I could do by myself. In Jesus’ name, amen.

About this Plan

In Here, Out There

What do you think of when you hear the word “church”? You might think of a place, like your local church building. But did you know the Church is more than that? When you choose to follow Jesus, you become part of God’s family, called the capital “C” Church. This six-day Bible Plan will help you share the love of Jesus everywhere you go with love, service, and cooperation.
