The Nine Beatitudes of JesusNäide

Day 7 - Blessed are the pure in heart
Sixth on the list of Jesus’ beatitudes describes those pure in heart. Jesus says such people shall see God. Well, that’s an outstanding Truth. But what does it mean?
God said to Moses in Exodus 33:20 that no man can see Him and live. Therefore, Jesus saying that the pure in heart shall see God doesn’t mean such a person will see God face to face. Instead, he shall see God’s wondrous works of grace overflowing in his life every single day. That can be your testimony. But you must be pure in heart first.
What does it mean to be pure in heart? It means to live a holy and peaceful life (see Hebrews 12:14). And for that to be a reality in your life, you must be a fast-forgiving person. Because the enemy of holiness is sin, and where there’s sin, there’s a lack of peace and the spread of every evil work.
Dear friend, always remember that the world is not your friend. For those who say that you’re too holy to commit evil, respond to them that you live to please God, not to follow the traditions of men. Guard your heart from evil, and God will keep lifting you because of your allegiance to Him.
