The Nine Beatitudes of JesusNäide

Day 4 - Blessed are the meek
Who’s a meek person? He’s a person with mildness of disposition or gentleness of spirit. I’ve read the Bible many times. I’ve seen biographies of great men of God, especially in the Old Testament, who did wondrous things.
Nonetheless, amongst all of them, it’s only Moses that the Bible says he was the meekest (see Numbers 12:3). What made him that? It was his humility. He spoke to God every day, "face to face". He was the senior pastor of a stubborn church – the Israelites, counting over 600,000 people. He wasn’t a mere man. He could have lived in pride, but he didn’t. He was humble. It’s not surprising that his life is still being preached to date. And that is what it means to inherit the Earth - for God to let your impact outlive your physical existence.
Jesus says in Matthew 5:5 that the meek will inherit the earth. Today, please decide to carry the humble mindset of Jesus. Drive your identity in Him, not what people say to you, what people pay you for, or what you do. For you are of more value before the eyes of God than any worldly view. Just keep being you as you walk in humility, and God will exalt you.
