God's Redemption Story (Exodus - Joshua)Näide

Historical evidence tells us that each plague God sent upon Egypt addressed a specific Egyptian god. When God sent a plague, he wasn’t just demonstrating power over the earth he created - he was also demonstrating power over the false gods of the Egyptians.
Here in modern America, we don’t worship a god of frogs or locusts or the sun, but we place our trust in plenty of things that can’t compare to our mighty God. We think money can buy whatever we need or want, politicians can shape society the way we like, and healthy food and exercise will help us live forever. But it’s all a lie. Like the made-up gods of gnats, animals, and crop growth from so many thousands of years ago, the things we worship will never fill the space in our hearts that is shaped like God.
