The Baptism of the Holy Spirit
It’s impossible to live the Christian life apart from the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would come to lead us into all truth. (John 16:7, 13)
Jesus the Baptizer: John the Baptist taught that water baptism was an act of repentance, and pointed out that Jesus would baptize His disciples with the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:11)
Power to be a Witness
The Holy Spirit empowers us to be effective witnesses. A witness is one who not only tells the truth, but also lives the truth. (Acts 1:8)
