A Spirit-Filled LifeSample

God’s Thirst for Us
At the well, Jesus asked the Samaritan woman for a drink. On the cross, He cried out, “I am thirsty.” These moments reveal something profound: God longs for us, too.
We often think of our spiritual life in terms of our hunger for God but the gospel reminds us of His desire for us. He thirsts for relationship, not because He needs us, but because He loves us. The living water He offers is mutual: as He fills us, we also refresh His heart with our trust, worship, and presence.
This truth changes everything. God is not distant or indifferent; He is pursuing. He knows your name, your story, your wounds and He thirsts for closeness with you.
Reflection Question:
How does knowing that God thirsts for closeness with you change how you relate to Him today?

About this Plan

The single command Jesus gave his followers before igniting his movement was “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised...” (Acts 1:4). He was telling them to wait and then move with the Spirit. For a movement to accomplish God's mission, it must be guided by the Spirit of God. We want to challenge every leader at Exponential with the big idea of Spirit-filled: Moving With The Spirit.
