According to 1 John 3:2, one day “we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” Until then, God desires for us to abide in Him and try to become more like Him. In order to walk as He walked, His Word must abide in us. His Holy Spirit indwells us and teaches us, enabling us to abide in Him and to live a life pleasing to the Lord. One day, we will get to see Him face-to-face, and we will love Him more than we ever dreamed possible.
As we grow closer to God, we will look forward to loving His appearing. 1 John 2:27-28 says, “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, ... And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.”
We should live lives that bring glory to God!
